The Niedernberg Chardonnay is shaped by the cool vintage. The aromas of hay and mountain herbs are fresh and spicy at the same time. Delicate citrus and pear aromas, along with refreshing acidity, emphasize its liveliness and authentically reflect the terroir. This wine displays a remarkably taut structure and breathtaking elegance, while the persistent finish with an impressive saltiness underscores its distinctive profile. An excellent Chardonnay from Württemberg.

João Barbosa is justifiably proud of his Blanc de Noirs Espumante. When we first tasted it at his winery in Rio Maior, we were absolutely blown away. Not that there aren't other good sparkling wines in Portugal, but we haven't yet experienced such finesse, such fine and persistent carbonation bubbles, and similar nobility in Portugal. In short: This is a sparkling wine of the highest class.
