The delicate Alvarinho, with its clarity, tension and minerality, can certainly be compared to a dry Moselle Riesling. Of course, the Alvarinho is drier and much more discreet in its aroma than a Riesling. On the nose, it offers notes of peaches and pears, as well as a hint of blossoms. The taste is fresh and mineral with a trace of salt. The finish, very typical for Alvarinho, is rather mild and soft.

Saca 2017 with only 900 bottles of 0.5l! This wine was selected from 10 casks from the 1920s at Bodegas Yuste. It was initially aged under flor yeast, followed by an extended oxidative phase. This is simply a sensational wine. Incredible complexity, rare finesse, and almost endless length. The Amontillado from the 2017 Saca is among the very best white wines we have ever tasted. In this context, its price is almost a joke! Be sure to enjoy it from sufficiently large white wine glasses at a drinking temperature of about 12-14°C. Absolutely do not serve in Sherry Copitas!

Méthode Ancestrale is probably the oldest and most original method of producing sparkling wine. In this method, the not yet completely fermented wine is filled into bottles, where it finishes its fermentation. The resulting carbonic acid cannot escape and is finely distributed in the wine. After a long period of aging on lees, the wine is riddled and carefully disgorged. Typically, méthode ancestrale wines are simple and fruity beverages that, while enjoyable, do not meet high standards in terms of the quality of the carbonation bubbles or sophistication. Here, it is completely different. Ancestral has a fine mousse, a mineral and complex taste, and delicate yeasty notes. Simply superb!

The harvest time certainly plays a major role in Céline and Benoit Blet's wines. They always harvest at full ripeness to achieve a balance of fruit and tannins. Therefore, the Anjou Demon has a remarkable structure and velvety tannins. It is a Cabernet Franc with a distinctly southern touch and benefits from aeration.
